Time Well Spent
First and foremost, I would like to thank you all for your encouragement and support throughout this course and my time in this program. I really could not have done it without you. You all are an inspiration to me. I have enjoyed working along side you as we took this journey together. I am appreciative of all your insight and feedback. So truly thank you!
I have learned many things over the last 22 months and I will continue to learn even after I complete this program. One thing that resonates with me is that being a leader is not a simple task and requires a person to be able to work well within a group and alone. A leader needs to be able to offer suggestions, but also be open to feedback. She should be a decision-marker and capable of asking for help.
Another thing I learned is that it takes a certain passion to work with children and their families. A passion that comes from within.
Lastly, I learned, through my Capstone project, how important play is to children and their families. Play supports healthy development and allows children to gain and strengthen their skills. Play can also solidify the relationship between children and their families and children and their caregiver. Without play, it can lead to anxiety, stress, depression and obesity.
One long-term goal is to challenge myself with a different realm of early childhood development whether it's to become part of an administration team or an advocate team. I hope that I can continue to work with children and their families, as well as continuing to learn from others around me.
Again, I thank you all for helping me achieve my goal and receive my master's degree! Here's to continued success in whatever you set your sights on!

I learned so much about children learning through play from you. In our discussions I was able to think about how the children in my center have enough play in their day. I thank you for that, Congratulations on your degree and good luck in the future. May we meet again
