When I Think of Child Development...
When I think of child development, I think about how important play is and how some believe that children do not learn while playing. I think that this quote sums it all up.

Your quote is so accurate! I have been doing home visits with my families for the children in my class this year and have been trying to explain to them that our philosophy is that the children will learn through play and how that is actually the best for children at this stage in life. I might have to post this quote somewhere in my classroom. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI truly believe in this quote because children do need an outlet of free time to be expressive, breathe, and enjoy laughter and fun. If children don't experience this you will see them act out in bad behavior, not able to be settled when its time to, or become very agitated or irritable. Play time is one of the only time where there aren't any rules of engagement. It helps to reset the mind and give rest to struggles, thoughts, and hard situations.
